Trustee since April 2019
Scott Allport is one of two founding trustees of The Katherine Allport Foundation. After losing his wife Katherine to Cancer aged just 32, it was very important to him to keep her name and memory alive.
After many ideas, he decided that he wanted to concentrate on supporting those starting their Cancer journey. On 2nd May 2019 he compiled a hamper for the father of a work colleague that contained all the essential items he would need for his treatment and with that The Katherine Allport Foundation was born.
The Foundation has been growing ever since and has now supported 100’s of people starting their Cancer journey.

Trustee since April 2019
One of two founding trustees, Pauline is the driving force behind our Care Hampers and meticulously curates them to ensure they are perfect for those who receive one.
She often has long chats with those requesting a hamper, gathering information and providing support along the way as she knows just how challenging it is for not only the person having treatment but their friends and family also.
The Foundation is close to her heart as Katherine was her daughter and it gives her focus after losing someone so extremely special to her. She was overwhelmed by the support and kindness Katherine received whilst she was poorly and wants to support others going through a difficult time. The hampers allow her to do this and shows that simple acts of kindness really do help.

Sian is a Volunteer for our Foundation and is Katherine's younger sister! It means a lot to her to be involved with an organisation in memory of someone she misses dearly...
She has recently been successful for a near £10k grant to supply tablet computers to isolated Cancer Patients which we have implemented with great success.
She also supports Pauline with hamper requests and likes to get involved with projects and fundraisers any way she can.
